Years of
History
Château d'Aragon
dates from two periods. The construction of the Château
started in the XII century and was then rebuilt and modified
considerably during the XVII century. Since its origins it has
been the village’s most imposing construction, the symbol and
key to the ownership of the surrounding agricultural land. The
Château, steeped in history, has always been jealously
guarded, cared for, and the object of battles which have
successively reduced it from a strongly defended fortress
spreading over the crest of the village to the majestic
residential home it is today.
