The high wall, an original from the 12th century, overlooking the interior garden is like a screen which conjures up stories of all ages. Once part of the Château’s interior structure, the wall is a stone mosaic echoing passed lives and heroic acts. It carries ample traces of the successive modifications in the structure of the Château with the shapes of windows, openings, lintels and arches leaving an impression of seemingly hazardous architectural evolution of the château.

The wall has silently witnessed lives and events over 800 years like a painting recounting the chronology of changes now inviting our free interpretation.
